EPISODE 01 - OSBORNE VILLAGE

Giving Winnipeggers back the trees they lost from their neighbourhoods.

story

The beautiful, quality hardwood from local trees belongs in the homes and businesses of Winnipeggers - not in the landfill.

Over 10,000 trees are taken down in Winnipeg every year due to disease and new development. Standing throughout Winnipeg's history, there are countless memories and events associated with every tree.

These trees are thrown in the landfill, while 99% of hardwoods are imported. We are changing that.

From October to December, hundreds of trees were taken down around Osborne Village and the surrounding area. We were able to salvage many of those trees. They have been diverted to our facility in Winnipeg, milled into different lumber types, kiln dried to achieve acceptable moisture levels and are being crafted into beautiful home products for Winnipeggers to cherish.
