Thermëa Winnipeg
Thermëa decided to replace their lounge tables. They landed on reclaimed elm laminated tabletops. The surfaces have a satin epoxy coat for durability and waterproofing and a clear hardwax oil finish. These tabletops were designed to fit on the lounge's existing table bases. Urban Lumber also re-finished Thermëa's outdoor patio tables rather than replacing them.

Jason and Breigh's renovation contractor approached Urban Lumber to outfit the restaurant and lounge with new tabletops, bartops and behind-the-bar countertops and shelves. This particular project needed to be completed in a limited time and was installed before winter holidays.

This project includes Urban Lumber's Elm Tongue & Groove panels and Elm Faux Beams. Machined from Urban Lumber's 5/4 elm lumber, these durable and flexible panels are easy to install and will adds a naturally modern touch to the kitchen and living space.

How long does it take to dry custom milled lumber?
A typical kiln cycle is 3-4 weeks. It is good practice to let the material air dry before kiln drying, which adds weeks or months to the timeline so it is best to contact us well in advance if your project requires a custom size material.
Do you sell logs and stumps?
Yes. We work closely with landscape architects to supply logs and stumps for natural playscapes, landscape borders, and more. We charge per linear foot for logs.
Will you refurbish existing tables?
Yes. We can surface and re-finish restaurant tables. Contact us to discuss quantities and finish options.
Do you deliver?
We do not typically deliver, however, we work with couriers and shipping companies and can help coordinate the delivery of your order.
