Premium: We advocate that wood is natural and visual imperfections are part of the beauty. Premium grade contains clearer boards than our character grade and ensures that the natural beauty is stabilized by filling any minor knots with epoxy to make a perfectly smooth surface.
Character: This grade showcases the unique, natural beauty of wood by showing off what is traditionally referred to as a “defect”, such as knots and irregularities. If you are looking for uniform and conventional, this may not be the grade for you. Knots are filled to create a smooth, sealed surface.
