The Float Dining Table celebrates the natural shape and character of Winnipeg elm. Its substantial 2"-thick tabletop is made from wide live-edge slabs, supported by streamlined black steel T-shaped legs that give the solid wood top a light, floating appearance.
Each Float table is made in Winnipeg from recycled elm boulevard trees. Natural live edges, distinctive grain, knots and cracks preserve the individual story of the wood. These characteristics are carefully stabilized and filled with epoxy to create a practical dining surface without concealing what makes the slabs unique.
Choose a Natural finish to preserve the elm’s lighter colour or a Tobacco stain for a deeper, warmer appearance. Both options are protected with a durable hardwax oil finish that leaves the wood with a smooth, low-sheen surface.
Every Float Dining Table is made to order. We can recreate its overall dimensions, construction and design, but the live edges and natural characteristics of the slabs cannot be duplicated exactly. Your finished table will be similar to the one pictured while remaining entirely one of a kind.
