The Provencher Epoxy Dining Table is a completely one-of-a-kind example of what can be created from a meaningful local tree. This table was commissioned using Winnipeg elm from the client’s own property, transforming part of their landscape into a lasting piece for their home.
The 2"-thick tabletop combines bookmatched elm with a dramatic black epoxy river. Live edges, expressive grain, knots and natural cracks preserve the story of the original tree, while a Cognac stain adds warmth and depth. A durable hardwax oil finish protects the wood while maintaining a natural, low-sheen appearance.
The tabletop rests on a sculptural black steel strawbundle pedestal, creating an architectural contrast with the organic shape and character of the elm.
This table is an example of past work and is not available for purchase. Its exact grain, live edges and epoxy formations cannot be duplicated. We can, however, create something equally distinctive using carefully selected local wood and design it around your space, preferences and story.
